AI/ML Engineer
About the Role
We're looking for an AI/ML Engineer to build the intelligence behind our autonomous financial agents. This role sits at the heart of what makes Autonomy special—you'll design, train, and deploy the AI systems that help users optimize their finances automatically.
You'll work on cutting-edge problems including LLM integration, financial time-series modeling, and building reliable AI systems that handle real money. This is a unique opportunity to apply ML to high-impact problems in a domain rich with interesting challenges.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement ML models for financial prediction and optimization
- Integrate and fine-tune LLMs for financial understanding and reasoning
- Build reliable AI pipelines that operate on live financial data
- Develop evaluation frameworks and monitoring for model performance
- Create embeddings and retrieval systems for financial knowledge
- Collaborate with product to translate user needs into ML solutions
- Research and prototype new approaches to financial AI
- Ensure AI systems are safe, fair, and compliant with regulations
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 3+ years of applied ML/AI experience
- Production experience deploying ML models at scale
- Strong Python skills and ML framework expertise (PyTorch preferred)
- Experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, or similar)
Technical Skills
- NLP techniques and transformer architectures
- Time-series modeling and forecasting
- MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, A/B testing)
- Data pipeline development (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)
Nice to Have
- Experience with financial data or fintech
- Background in reinforcement learning
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices
- Published research or open source ML contributions
