1. Introduction

AutonomyFinance.ai, Inc. (“Autonomy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, process, retain, and safeguard personal information when you access or use our website, mobile applications, AI-powered financial agent platform, financial data aggregation services, structured financial information, and any related services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

Autonomy is a United States–based technology company that provides software tools designed to help users monitor, organize, and analyze financial information. Autonomy is not a bank, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, accounting firm, or law firm. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Except as described herein, you retain ownership of personal information you submit to the Services.

2. Eligibility

The Services are intended solely for individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@autonomyfinance.ai.

3. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies where Autonomy acts as a data controller, meaning we determine the purposes and means of processing personal information.

In certain circumstances, such as when financial advisors or enterprise customers use our platform on behalf of their own clients, we may process personal information as a service provider under the instructions of those clients.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Information You Provide

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including your full name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, account credentials, financial goals and preferences, uploaded financial documents, communications with us, and content submitted through AI chat interactions. You are responsible for the information you choose to submit to the platform.

4.2 Financial Account Information

When you connect financial accounts through authorized third-party data providers, such as Plaid or similar providers, we may receive account balances, transaction histories, investment holdings, liabilities and loan data, income information, tax-related documents, and institutional metadata. We do not receive or store your external financial account passwords. Autonomy is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information received from third-party data providers.

4.3 Data Storage and System Records

Autonomy maintains a structured data storage system that stores financial account information, uploaded documents, user preferences, AI-generated outputs, permissions settings, and related system data associated with your account.

For purposes of system integrity, auditability, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and security monitoring, Autonomy may maintain system logs and time-stamped records reflecting user activity, permissions changes, data access events, AI interactions, and other platform activity.

Autonomy does not represent that stored information constitutes official books and records, custodial records, or legally binding financial statements.

4.4 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect technical information, including IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, usage activity, session metadata, and interaction patterns.

4.5 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to enable core functionality, maintain session integrity, authenticate users, improve platform performance, detect fraud and abuse, and analyze usage patterns. Certain cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the Services and cannot be disabled.

You may manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may impair functionality of the Services.

4.6 Authorized Collaborators

The Services allow you to invite and grant access to third parties, including but not limited to financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, spouses, household members, or other individuals (“Authorized Collaborators”). If you choose to grant access to an Authorized Collaborator, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for determining the scope of access granted.
  • You represent that you have the legal authority to share the relevant information.
  • Authorized Collaborators may view, access, download, or interact with information consistent with the permissions you assign.
  • Autonomy does not supervise, monitor, or control the actions of Authorized Collaborators.
  • Autonomy is not responsible for how an Authorized Collaborator uses or interprets shared information.

You may revoke access at any time through the platform settings; however, Autonomy is not responsible for information previously accessed, downloaded, or retained by an Authorized Collaborator.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to provide and operate the Services, establish and manage user accounts, maintain and secure user account data and associated financial information, generate financial insights and projections, operate AI-powered systems, authenticate users, prevent fraud and misuse, improve product functionality, respond to inquiries, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

We may generate aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, research, security monitoring, and product development purposes. We may also process and display personal information to Authorized Collaborators in accordance with permissions granted by you through the Services.

6. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

Autonomy uses artificial intelligence and machine learning systems to analyze financial data, identify patterns, generate projections, and suggest actions.

You acknowledge and agree that AI-generated outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or misleading. AI systems may misinterpret data, fail to detect relevant context, rely on incomplete or outdated third-party data, generate incorrect correlations, or produce computational or modeling errors. Market conditions, economic factors, data latency, or third-party outages may invalidate projections or recommendations.

Autonomy may present certain insights, alerts, rankings, or recommended actions through features such as “Autonomy Intelligence,” “Next Best Action,” “Vitals”, or similar functionality. These features are generated algorithmically based on available data and system models. They are intended to provide informational suggestions and do not constitute personalized financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to engage in any specific transaction.

Any “Next Best Action” or similar recommendation reflects a system-generated interpretation of available data at a particular point in time and may not account for all relevant financial circumstances, market conditions, risk tolerance considerations, liquidity constraints, tax implications, legal factors, or other personal considerations. Such outputs are not monitored for suitability and do not create a fiduciary or advisory relationship.

You remain solely responsible for evaluating whether any suggested action is appropriate for your circumstances. Autonomy does not execute financial transactions unless you provide explicit authorization, and you are solely responsible for any action taken in reliance on system-generated suggestions.

Autonomy does not validate AI outputs for professional accuracy and does not monitor user decisions for suitability. The Services do not constitute financial, investment, tax, accounting, estate planning, or legal advice. Autonomy does not create a fiduciary relationship through use of the Services.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating outputs before taking action. We strongly recommend consulting licensed financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, or other qualified professionals before making financial decisions.

If Authorized Collaborators access or rely upon AI-generated outputs, you acknowledge that Autonomy does not supervise or validate such reliance and does not assume responsibility for decisions made by any Authorized Collaborator.

Autonomy does not undertake to monitor your financial condition on an ongoing basis, and the presentation of a suggested action does not imply that other potential risks, opportunities, or alternatives have been identified or evaluated. The absence of an alert, recommendation, or notification does not imply that no risk, opportunity, or material change exists.

7. Agent Tasks and Conditional Monitoring

The Services may allow you to configure conditional tasks, alerts, or monitoring instructions (for example, requests to notify you if certain financial thresholds, market conditions, transaction amounts, or account changes occur). These “Agent Tasks” are automated features that rely on third-party data feeds, system configurations, and algorithmic processing.

You acknowledge and agree that Agent Tasks may fail to trigger, may trigger inaccurately, may be delayed, or may rely on incomplete or outdated data. Autonomy does not guarantee continuous, real-time, or uninterrupted monitoring of any financial condition, market rate, account activity, or transaction threshold.

The existence of an Agent Task does not create an obligation for Autonomy to monitor your financial circumstances on an ongoing basis. You remain solely responsible for independently monitoring your financial accounts, obligations, and market conditions. Autonomy shall not be responsible for losses, missed opportunities, penalties, fees, or other consequences arising from delayed, missed, or inaccurate alerts or task execution.

8. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to service providers that assist with hosting, analytics, data aggregation, security, AI infrastructure, customer support, or related operational services. We may share personal information with Authorized Collaborators, including financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, spouses, or household members, solely at your direction and in accordance with the permissions you grant through the Services. Autonomy does not independently verify the professional status, licensing, qualifications, or authority of any Authorized Collaborator. We may disclose information when required to comply with law, court orders, subpoenas, regulatory requests, or to protect our rights and users. In connection with mergers, acquisitions, financings, or asset transfers, personal information may be transferred as part of a corporate transaction.

Autonomy does not sell personal information.

9. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, secure cloud infrastructure, logging and monitoring systems, and authentication mechanisms.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach involving personal information under our control, we will notify affected users without unreasonable delay subject to law enforcement considerations and applicable legal requirements. Notification may be provided by email, in-application notice, or other legally permissible methods.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain audit and system integrity records. Where appropriate, we may delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required. Certain system logs may be retained for compliance, security, audit, and fraud prevention purposes. Certain records may be retained beyond account termination where required for security, compliance, audit, or legal purposes.

12. California Privacy Rights

California residents may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal information, and data portability as provided under applicable law. Autonomy does not sell personal information. Requests may be submitted to info@autonomyfinance.ai.

13. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
